The Ibero-American Genealogy Conference in in Salt Lake
City, Utah was a success. There was a large number of genealogy students and enthusiast
from all over Latin America and Spain.
In addition there was a dedicated group of presenters and professional
genealogists that worked hard to cover all the topics in the agenda.
I instructed on the topic “Notarial Records in Spain”, but
the highlight for me was meeting in person Mr. George Ryskamp, the patriarch of
the Hispanic genealogy in the United States.
I also took the opportunity to visit the Genealogical
Society of Utah and did some research at the Family History Library, the
largest genealogical library in the world.
Overall a very productive trip that helped us to collaborate
with development of the Hispanic genealogical research.
