International Heraldry Day

Today, June 10th we celebrate every year the “International Heraldry Day”. The day was chosen because in the XII century, the day of June 10th, we find a very famous reference to Heraldry in Normandy (North of France). Henry I, King of England, granted this son-in-law Geoffrey V of Anjou the right to bear arms, Azure (blue), the English leopards.

Heraldry is a beautiful art and also a science.  I hope we see more and more heraldic designs following heraldic rules.
